Information signAbout the Arches

Many people with learning disabilities use the Waterfront Leisure centre but we wanted to see what it is like at other leisure centres in Greenwich.

thumbs upWhat's good?

  • There is a ramp outside for making it easier for people with disabilities to get in to the centre
  • The staff were very helpful and answered our questions in a good way - they spoke to us and looked at us, not our helpers
  • There is a disabled toilet.

Thumbs downWhat could be better?

  • It was noisy but we did visit in the school holidays so there were a lot of happy children there
  • It would be more helpful if the signs that show people where to go to the toilet or changing rooms were made bigger and with some easier to understand pictures on
  • The disabled toilet is also a changing room for disabled people - it would be better if the toilet and changing rooms were separate.
