About public toilets

  • We all need to go to the toilet sometimes.
  • If people are out and about we think it is important that there are toilets that everyone can use.
  • We think toilets should be clean and we also want to feel safe.
  • We sent Michael and Evette to look at the public toilets in Woolwich.

thumbs upWhat's good?

  • It was easy to get in - there are no steps or stairs
  • There is a disabled toilet - you need a special key called a RADAR key to get in to the disabled toilet.
  • To find out about RADAR keys you can visit their web site: www.radar.org.uk
  • It wasn't too dark inside It looked clean
  • It didn't smell bad
  • There is a sign outside showing you when the toilet is open
  • It is open every day from 7 in the morning till 7 in the evening

Thumbs downWhat could be better?

  • It would make us feel safer if there were staff there to look after the toilets.
